  • Winter Policy

    The winter months bring unique challenges for our dedicated poop-scooping team. While we always strive to keep your yard clean and service on schedule, some adjustments are necessary during this season to ensure safety and maintain the quality of our work.


    Our trucks and team work year-round; cold weather alone won’t stop us! As long as conditions allow, we stay on our regular schedule. 


    Here’s Our Key Winter Guideline:


    If we know a storm is coming, and scheduling allows, we may reach out to adjust your service a day or two earlier so we can scoop everything visible before the storm hits. This helps prevent unnecessary buildup and keeps your yard in better shape.


    If waste is buried under snow or frozen to the ground, we may not be able to remove it right away, but don’t worry, we’ll get it at your next visit once conditions improve.


    Please make sure your yard is accessible after storms so we can scoop safely.


    Access to Your Yard:


    While we’re committed to keeping your yard clean, please note that Scoop It Up does not provide snow removal services. If snow or ice blocks access to your yard, service will be postponed until the next scheduled visit. Frozen gates are also common in winter, and for safety reasons, our team cannot force them open.


    Pet Routine Changes:


    We understand that winter weather can change your dog’s normal routine. Our scoopers will adapt and clean all accessible areas where your pet has been able to go. If your pet’s bathroom area changes completely (for example, from the backyard to the front yard), please let us know by calling/texting 781-757-5595 or emailing info@scoop-it-up.com so we can update your service notes.


    Missed Visits and Holds:


    If a winter storm prevents us from servicing your property, no credits will be issued. When we return, there will simply be more waste to remove, so the workload remains the same. If you’d like to pause service for the winter, please contact our office at least 3 days before your next scheduled visit. A Spring Clean-Up fee will apply when restarting, as winter accumulation can build up quickly, sometimes over ten buckets of waste!


    Why Staying on Service Helps You:

    Our standard winter policy is designed to work in your favor, saving you money and time in the spring (no Spring Clean-Up fee). Staying on service eliminates the need for large cleanups, keeps your yard manageable, and ensures consistent, reliable care throughout the year. Customers who remain active during the winter also receive priority scheduling when the snow melts.

  • How do I get a quote?

    Getting a personalized quote is easy! Visit our website or give us a call. We'll ask a few questions about your property and pet(s) to provide an accurate and competitive price.

  • Are you insured?

    Yes! We are 100% insured commercially with uniformed/trained team members and branded vehicles. 


  • Do we work in the winter?

    Yes! Dogs do not stop going #2. Keeping up your yard will help create a healthier environment for your family and pet, and you will really thank us during the spring thaw!

  • What about Holidays?

    We like to provide days off to our hardworking scoopers. We will do our best to move the schedule around to accomodate being off on the holidays, however there may be instinces where we will have to skip that week's scoop service which means we will have double duty the following scheduled service. Either way, all of the waste will be removed in a timely fashion. We will be off on the major national holidays such as:

    Independence Day

  • How do I pay?

    We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express credit cards. Your card will be billed on the 1st of the month for that month’s service. This minimizes the number of smaller transactions by billing one time per month.

  • Are your technicians background checked?

    Yes, the safety and security of our clients are paramount. All our technicians undergo thorough background checks and are trained to be respectful and professional.

  • Are there any contracts for residential poop scooping?

    No contracts! We are month to month and we offer a variety of scooping frequencies. From one time scoops to weekly, biweekly and monthly scoop services. 

  • What if I'm not home during the service?

    No problem! We can access your yard through a designated gate or other pre-arranged entry point. We'll upload pictures of closed gates upon completion of each service!

  • What if my dog is territorial or doesn't like strangers?

    Let us know! We can work with you to find a solution, such as scheduling visits when your dog is inside or focusing on specific areas of your yard. Your pet's comfort is important to us.

  • What if I find dog waste after your service?

    We strive for perfection! If you're not completely satisfied, contact us, and we'll return promptly to re-clean the area at no additional charge. We are human, so mistakes happen, but we will always try to rectify any issues. 

  • What if it rains on my scheduled service day?

    We work rain or shine! Dog waste needs to be removed regardless of weather, and we're equipped to handle most conditions. We'll only reschedule in extreme weather events.

  • What if I need to cancel or reschedule a service?

    We understand things come up. Just give us 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule your service without penalty. We appreciate your cooperation.

  • What if I have a specific area of my property I want you to focus on?

    Absolutely! Just let us know your preferences, and we'll update the yard notes within the client portal (Sweep & Go). Client's have access to update notes regarding yards, dogs, etc or just advise us and we'll make any necessary updates!

  • What if I have questions or concerns during the service period?

    We're always here to help! Feel free to Call/Text/Email us anytime with questions or concerns. We value your feedback and strive to provide excellent customer service.
